Calling On Local Businesses: Workability Program

The WorkAbility/We Can Work Program at Burbank Unified School District is a dynamic, grant-funded initiative that offers paid work experiences, benefiting both our local businesses and students. This program equips students with essential on-the-job training, boosting their confidence, self-esteem, and job readiness. It’s an effective way to enhance their preparedness for both college and careers.

The program team is actively seeking new community business partners to host student interns. Expanding our network of business partners will provide our students with a broader range of job opportunities, aligning closely with their career goals.

We need your help to spread the word! If you know business owners who would appreciate the chance to mentor a student intern at no cost, please share my contact information with them. Partnerships like these are crucial as they support our youth and contribute to shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

For more details about how businesses can get involved, please visit our program's website: WorkAbility/We Can Work Program.

Attend the information session on November 15 at 1:30PM at the Burbank Chamber of Commerce office.

Thank you for your ongoing support. Together, we can make a significant impact on our students’ futures and the vitality of our local business community.
