Red Ribbon Week (October 23-31) is here! Our student council helped come up with some ideas to remind us that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery, and strength. We hope the theme encourages everyone to express themselves and their feelings no matter what.
Here's the week's activities:
Wed Oct 23: Wear red and be proud to be drug-free
Thurs Oct 24: Wear bright colors and be the light
Fri Oct 25: Make a pledge to be drug-free and sign the poster at lunch
Mon Oct 28: Wear your favorite team's apparel or dress as twins
Tues Oct 29: Wear denim
Wed Oct 30: Tie a red ribbon on the fence during lunch
In 1988, NFP sponsored the first National Red Ribbon Celebration. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Since that time, the campaign has reached millions of U.S. children and families. More on the organization and the campaign on their website. Download the free guide here.
